Hello friends. Does anyone know about bar trivia games? I was in Baumhours in Huntsville, AL yesterday and some guy got about 20 in a row correct without using hints. Do these questions repeat or something? I got trounced on my first try but it was fun.

Bar trivia games are usually on a repeat and only the ones with NO lives tend to REMEMBER the questions. You should talk to this GUY and ask him to step out of a few games so it could BE competitive.

You raise an excellent question. I have often wondered that myself. There is always this one, maybe two guys, that seem to know too much trivia but lack the desire to hold a fantastic job.

The ntn video trivia was big in Houston 10 years ago, but ntn started to offer Holdem poker. Trivia took huge hit.

last few years some groups have started trivia in bars a few nights a week. But not as popular as it used to be.

Trivia is still popular some places, here (Buffalo Wild Wings is one), and I like it. I haven't noticed if the questions are on a loop or not, myself. I like it, but am not obsessed. Some people are OBSESSED with pub trivia. A bigger thing right now, though, are pub quizzes hosted by quizmasters, vs. just online trivia on monitors with people holding buzzers. Geeks Who Drink and such.

The Bar trivia (or quizzes) that is popular now is what Tabula is talking about. We have Geeks who Drink and a couple others.
