I bought my husband a bottle of Chivas aged 25 years for over $200. We are not that type of spenders but it was a special occasion.

Lesseee....

A few years ago I bought a bottle of Herradura Super Premium Single Barrel Tequila in Acapulco for $100. Amazing slow-sipping wonder. On the way home I had a little buyer's remorse, thinking I probably overpaid, until I got back and saw the same item in the locked case at a local liquor store for $225.

Runner up... a bottle of Cask Strength (122.6 proof!) Parker's Heritage Collection Bourbon, hand signed by the Master Distiller Parker Beam, in Bardstown, Kentucky, $99 With a double splash of branch water the taste is incredibly smooth and wonderful.

I still have about 2 fingers left in the bottle of Parker Beam, and not quite half of the Herradura left. You don't drink that kind of treat in a hurry.

I think you take the prize Beretta. We have paid as much (only once) as $55 for a bottle of wine in a restaurant. That was about a year ago and I think probably hubby has paid $60 for a bottle of single malt scotch but I am not sure what kind...

14 bucks for a Long Island iced tea. I about messed my pants when I heard how much it was. Good thing it was strong, as that was the only one I ordered that evening.
