Ok, I admit I'm broke & cheap. Thus, been drinking these jugs of late. Both Burgundy & Cab Sav seem ok. Anyone comment on them?

I say for value -- tho they're big/commercial/mass-made wines -- they're good deals & taste fine & give a wine buzz, etc.

I'd like to hear comments from others too.

If you're just looking to get wasted, you can't beat those jugs of Burgundy for $10. If I'm having a bunch of people over and they don't care what they're drinking, it's the way to go!

For me personally, though, I don't drink that stuff. There was a time when I did, but no longer.

Hey, there was a time, before we all became wine connoisseurs or think we are, I drank it and as you say, didn't mind it at all. No, we didn't drink it to get drunk, but would enjoy it with Italian meals or just a glass or so; now, I wouldn't drink it for anything, but if you like it ok, and it is in your price range, no one should judge you for enjoying a glass or two.. All I would suggest is, you try boxed wine, maybe Franzia, I think it is a little better, but that is just my opinion.

Nita

I think the wine tastes OK for an inexpensive table wine, but I find it hard to drink out of that bottle.

We used to drink Paisano in college; I haven't had it in 30 years, and don't even remember what it tastes like, but I don't remember being repulsed. LOL

nmnita's suggestion of boxed wine is a good one, because you can find good boxed wines that cost about the same, and the bladder keeps the wine very fresh for a long time. It would take me quite awhile to plow through a four-liter bottle of wine, and by that time the end of the bottle would taste nasty. Not so with boxed wine -- more economical, because there's no waste!

And even nicer, the new 3L wine boxes from Octovin, with higher quality wine in them.

There's been a good discussion of them going on at this thread:

Hahaha, ok you resident winos thanks for all the feedback.

I'll 'relook' into boxed as I gave it up a yr or so ago, due to worry of BPA lining the plastic liners of the boxes holding the wine bags.

But if y'all think ok on boxed wine, & no worries re: BPA leaching into wine, then it is a go.

I still like my 4L glass jugs to sit on porch w/ like today in AZ heat & slug a few sips down.

I got a few Trader Joe's Organics too. A Petite Sirah TJ's brand, & Green Fin Red wine which drank yest. & it was ok but cork ended up inside bottle as wouldn't come out. Hmmm...

Ok, carry on ya good time fellas & gals.
