I had a GREAT drink like that at a waterfront bar/restaurant on Longboat Key, Florida. It was a margarita, with a Coronita turned upside down into it. As you drank the margarita, and the level went down, the beer would flow into the drink. VERY tasty!
I've had the Bud-a-rita. It was okay. Over ice was better.
It was intentionally designed to not have strong flavors and be as approachable as possible to all beer drinkers (drinkers in general) rather than the stronger more polarizing styles of the time. Does that make it a good beer (Adophus Busch himself apparently didn't really like it)? Not really in the traditional sense at all, but it is certainly very good at what it was suppose to be.

I will say, the Salmon marintated in it with a little soy sause was darn good!!!!!
Yah, my bud gave me this bud just a couple of days ago. It wasn't too bad. I agree that it was a bit heavy and woukd probably be better over ice. It wasn't really my thing though. We were drinking some good craft brews when he threw this one at us. So it didn't really jive too well with those others. But if I was at a party and there was little else I might have one.
heartburn city otherwise its pretty good, like the fact its 8% alc
