Years ago, I had Pyramid's seasonal Apricot Weizen, which was delicious and then they discontinued it. Recently, I've started to see Pyramid Apricot Ale around. Does anyone know if this is the same beer?

Thanks!

Apricot Ale uses a hefeweizen as its base so it stands to reason it's the same beer or close to it. Maybe they've been fidgeting with the labeling or something because Apricot Ale isn't new; I remember having my first one over 15 years ago.

They could be. I just know that I was really disappointed that it was no longer available. I know that Apricot Ale isn't new, but I tend to not like fruity beers. Pyramid's was great because it was only a hint of apricot - mostly in the aftertaste.

Pyramid Apricot Ale is like this, and it's pretty good. Not sure if it's different than the first one you mentioned.

Have you tried it yet??!

I haven't. Maybe I'll get some this weekend (if I see it). I've been mostly drinking stouts and pumpkin ales.
