Hello folks! I'm sorry you don't particularly enjoy wine, aiangel, but the tips listed above will help a good bit. Wine and air have a very strange relationship. It very much mellows the flavor of the wine and makes it more enjoyable. That's why red wine glasses are very wide, while white wine glasses are narrower and champagne flutes are very narrow. The wider the glass, the more exposure to air.
That's also why people sometimes use those wide wine decanters.
In nicer restaurants and wine bars, they actually pump heavy gases (usually argon) into opened bottles of wine they want to keep. The argon settles over the wine and provides a gas barrier, protecting the wine from oxygen. It's pretty neat.
Wine coolers (as in the wine refrigerators) are designed for white wine, which should be chilled. Traditionally, whites are to be served at cellar temperature (low 50s) and reds are to be served at room temp. There are, of course, lots of special cases. In the states, we tend to overchill everything, and that can hurt the flavors.

Don't forget about things like raspberry wine, the lower the alcohol content the sweeter it is (in my experience the 5-10% is much nicer than the 15%).
You can usually guarantee that any wine made with fruit other than grapes will be sweet, like blueberry, apple, etc. I presume you don't need the grape to get the health benefit?
Or what about Maneschewitz (not sure of spelling)? I think this is sweet wine.

Do you get a better wine by paying a higher price? I mean, cheap wine = cheap price? Or, another way, Do by paying a bit more, do you get a better quality of wine?
Yeah, I think cheap wine = cheap price, but in my experience people who don't really like wine/are looking for a sweet one prefer cheap (to me, yucky ) wine. So if you are basically taking it as medicine, why bother spending more?

Agree...it's got to be grape wine to get that benefit.
I drink white because I don't know anything about red wines. I just don't want my mouth to get stuck in a puckered position if I drink red. So how about some specific suggestions as red is healthier than white.
