I love all kinds of beer.. but in the end I prefer to stick with the "cheaper" stuff especially when I'm out at a bar/restaurant. Cheaper that way...

Well, if that's the reasoning, it's also cheaper to eat at home

I like craft beers but I used to like only light beers. I just one day decided I'd try other options and found that I like them. Now, I don't really care for light beers. I don't care if anyone else drinks it, to each their own but I hate it when my friends that only drink light beers act like I'm dumb for spending my money on something I like.
A couple friend of ours usually drinks only light beer, the husband more so than the wife. The wife will try at least try other beers, some she likes, some she doesn't. Well, my husband and I love to try all the local breweries here in Richmond, VA. In the last few years quite a few have popped up and I love it. The couple asked if they could come to one with us. Of course they could. Well the husband gets upset that the beer is pricey and that they don't have anything light. I asked the brewers what the least hoppy beer was since I know he wouldn't like anything too hoppy but he still complained about it. I told him prior to going there that it was a craft brewery and that they didn't have anything close to bud light, his usual beer of choice, but he wanted to go any way and then complained about it the whole time. Go figure. I'm not inviting them to come along again. There is one brewery they like and because the have a Kolsch and that's light but they also have a delicious IPA so at least we can go there with them.
Personally, I don't care what people drink. If I'm going to a BBQ at someone's house I bring my own beer because the event is usually byob. I'm willing to share if anyone wants to try it and I won't put them down if the don't try it and choose to drink light beers instead. And, if the event is not byob, I'll drink whatever they have without complaint.

Because we all judge everyone over everything. Sad but true.

Some of the people I hang out with usually do this because they want to tease each other. This is ok, because they do it for fun. But some of them usually do this to boast their incredibly amazing taste in beer. Unfortunately #2 happens more often.
