Vodka & lemonade is my favorite summer cocktail. Sometimes I do half and half of lemonade and cranberry juice instead.

I mix the lemonade/cran with vodka 3:1 but I like my drinks strong.

I went to a patio party and the host had mixed up something kind of yummy...

Orange Creamsicle...Creamsicle®

It was just two items--orange soda and Vanilla Vodka...tasted just like an Orange Creamcicle--but with a wallop...couldn't much taste the vodka.

He mixed it in Orange Soda bottles--so keep the kids away...
(some add half and half and triple sec, but his recipe didn't..)

The version with triple sec sounds yummy. Maybe a bit more intense and less creamsicle-ish than the version without it.

I'd like a cold Caesar on a hot day (a variation on a Bloody Mary).

A gin martini with a twist of lime.

It just so happens that this is also the best drink for autumn, winter and spring days and nights...

We were out running errands and shopping from 7:45 am on Thursday until after 3pm. The first thing we did, after unloading the car was have a gin and tonic with lots of lime. Boy did it hit the spot and cool us off. At least we thought it cooled us off.

Vodka and limeade. Simply Limeade is real lime juice and real sugar, Newman's may also be pure. You can also squeeze your own. About the cleanest, freshest tasting thing you can drink. Allow for ice melting and dilute/concentrate to your preference.

Default The Best Mixed Drink For A Hot Summer Day?

Of course it depends on the drinker's mood. I find gin and tonic to be refreshing, but sometimes nothing beats a good Margarita.
