A couple of years ago I went to a butters making class. It was really interesting and I found out some of the ingredients in bitters aid in digestion and other things.

I starting adding a few drops to my water at home and thinking about more ways to use bitters.

I keep a couple of kinds at home: citrus for water. And other flavors that seem interesting.

I started to add a few drops to smoothies using protein powder. Some of those powders are quite sweet.

Vanilla bitters in eggnog.

And my favorite: chocolate or vanilla bitters on ice cream! This was an accident born of ice cream being served in a bar supplies store. It is one of my fave uses.

How do you use bitters?
