"The Bartender's Bible" by Gary Regan is the established classic and is pubished by HarperCollins. You won't find liquors ranked as that's a question of personal taste but you will find everything else you need to know and hundreds of recipes. Cheers!
All I want is some book that will help me figure out
1) What brands of Vodka/Gin to order/buy
2) What concocations/mixes of Vodka/Gin/Other spirit drinks exist
That's it.
I hate going to bars, spending 20 or more bucks to drink crappy tasting drinks that don't sit well with my stomach and don't get me buzzed.
I want a simple, concise guide so I know what brands and mixes to get.
Which book?
1) Dummies Guide to Wine and Spirits?
2) Bartenders Bible
3) Grossman's Guide to Wine and Spitirs
4) The Book of Gin and Vodkas: A Complete Guide
5) Other?
Thanks!
