Try a Rias Baixas Albarino ... a Spanish white. Fairly dry with a nice crisp taste. Not too acidic or grapefruity. Prices range from $11 - $20.

St. James Winery Velvet Red. Way too sweet for me, but some of my friends love it. Missouri wine.

I've discovered that the more wine I drink, the more dry I prefer them. I like white wines and started with sweet Riesling and white Zin but can't abide them now...I like several kinds of Pinot Grigio-Ecco Domani is pretty good and easy to find but there are a couple I like better. NOT a fan of Bella Sera.

First, FYI you can buy bottles of "juice" or non-alcoholic wine with resveritol FYI.

But while Arbor Mist is wine, yeah it is a 'soda pop wine' and precisely because it's so sweet. But hey if you like it, so what? ie are you drinking for the health benefits and/or general enjoyment or to impress people?

Strawberry wine is the best. I also like Merlot.

Default Favorite Wine?

What's your favorite wine? Two categories: any price and affordable (under 20).

Any: Red Burgundy especially Grand Cru (duh) from Cote du Nuits

Too bad I can almost never afford it. I went to Burgundy for my honeymoon and fell in love with the wine. Amazing, intoxicating, ultracomplex. Since coming back to the US I've bought a few bottles in the $50 range but these were mostly disappointing. Only good ones I've had have been at tastings and those are 200+ per bottle.

Affordable: Rioja

Seems like 2005 was a good year. I have never been disappointed by dropping $20 on a reserva rioja from 2005.
