Depends on which country I'm in. Here in Oz, it'll be a glass of wine or an amber ale. When we were last in the US and Canada, a glass of wine was very expensive compared to here, but mixed drinks and cocktails were cheaper, so I'd order cocktails there. Dirty Martinis were my favourite. Or Margaritas, on the rocks, with salt. In Canada I always order a Bloody Caesar - like a Bloody Mary only instead of Tomato Juice, it's Clamato (clam juice and tomato juice). Spicy is the best.

LIIT. Why? Strong and doesn't taste like booze.

My traditional after dinner drink is the Grasshopper. Stomach settler.

If I'm at a bar where they know how to make a Ramos Fizz, I'll order one or five of those. It's a blast from the past.

My favorite is a cosmopolitan too and had a really nice one at this bar in London. In fact if ever around the city there is a complimentary cocktail voucher at Enjoy a complimentary Beefeater 24 cocktail with a friend - Time Out London (http://www.timeout.com/beefeater24 - broken link) that gets you for you a friend... may need to take my date there with it as the bars you can use them are quite posh

Now, here's a site worth coming to
A chance to get some ideas [offer up some in return, perhaps?]
Personal preferences. Generally but there's times I switch.
Warm /hot weather
chilled wines:
Pinots - any.
Mudslides - frozen
Sangria
Toasted Almond
many others...
cold glass of Killian's, or Foster's or Dos Equis, ...

room temp wines - when it's colder outside.

My dh likes Guiness and sometimes goes for Black and Tans, or Black and red [B/Rs @ Buffalo Wild Wings]. Mix of Guiness and Killian's.
Cheers !

It depends on the mood and the situation but I normally have a glass of red wine.
I also love a good Margarita.

Depends on the mood, but a VO Manhattan up if I'm feeling classy. Otherwise normally beer (which changes depending on the season and what's available), gin & tonic, rum & coke, or gin gimlet. I find wine too expensive at a bar/restaurant so I don't usually order it unless I really want a glass.

My most favorite is Woodchuck Amber Draft cider (it comes in a bottle and you can buy it at most liquor stores in a 6 pack). Then Hornsby's Hard Apple Cider and then Doc's Hard Apple Cider.
Try Strongbow if you can find it, especially on draft. Woodchuck also has a Dark & Dry which is good.
