Hi all,

I am curious if this has happened to anyone else, or if anyone has any advice.

I started taking a green tea supplemental early last week (probably on Tuesday). I took it on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Friday I took it with my lunch and about 1--15 minutes after I took it, my heard started beating VERY fast. I got nervous because it felt like it was going to thump right out of my chest.

I also got a hive on my lip that was very itchy, but it went away quickly.

Friday night I felt ok, just exhausted and went to bed early. Yesterday I was out of it all day, felt dizzy and woozy, and my throat felt a bit swollen, but not enough to alarm me or go to the ER. I slept most of the day.

Does this sound like an allergic reaction? I have had reactions to things before, but I would just get hives on my arms. This was like nothing I ever experienced.

I still don't feel great, but better than yesterday. I am not going to take the green tea anymore, I feel afraid. I had heard such great things about it, I'm disappointed that it doesn't seem to agree with me.

I drink my green tea.
Is there anything else in that supplement?
And, if not, where is that green tea from? and is it organic?
I'm thinking that you're having a reaction to something other than green tea but i don't know.
Interesting.
Check the ingredients on the bottle.

A reaction to a green tea supplement or to green tea?

it was a supplement, and it was just green tea, no added ingredients.

interesting.
i guess you best avoid green tea.
why would someone take a green tea supplement (as opposed to drinking a cup of it)?
just curious.

I don't like the taste of the tea. I don't really like any tea, except for earl grey.

Never taken tea supplements, just drink it.

You could probably add some earl grey tea bags to your green tea if the flavor bothers you that much.

I often mix teas together when brewing larger quantities...
