Have I missed which EO's caused those facial issues?
The article never mentioned the brand, but it included this:
Quote:
She infused her water with citrus oils said to detoxify and lathered her skin with stress-relieving lavender. When a faint rash appeared on her forearm, a salesperson told her it was a normal “detox” reaction and advised her to rub frankincense oil on it. She obliged.
But after a few months, raised welts began to creep across her abdomen and up the back of her neck. Ultimately, she landed in the emergency room, eyes swollen, oozing blisters across her face, where doctors swiftly put her on steroids. Her diagnosis: A severe toxic reaction to essential oils.

So many are just dumb. Personally I would never put EO's on my face and use them mostly on my knee and splash around my pillow and bedsheets and blanket.
After reading that article I wouldn't consider using essential oils for anything. The few potential positives are greatly outweighed by the dangers, contrary to what the millions of people peddling them claim.
Same here. They are highly concentrated and there is no way of knowing how they might react with a medication that one is taking. Some herbs and essential oils can also cause miscarriage.
OMG . . . so much fear . . . I have a collection of probably a couple of hundred - I use them all neat. I use Frankincense on my face. I have never had a problem with any oil. I use oils that I know are pure.

So many scared, terrified people.
Just because "YOU" Have never had a problem with the oils, doesn't mean they couldn't be toxic to someone else. Some people do have allergic reactions to certain substances.

So true, but then again, my daughter had a dangerous reaction to birth control pills. I have friends allergic to seafood. Those are both things that benefit many people, just like essential oils.

Birth control is given out by prescription from a doctor. Essential oils are prescribed as "cures" by women with no medical training.
Big difference.
