Assuming you are at home like the vast majority of coronavirus cases and don't need to be in a hospital. Mayo Clinic and others say to treat it like a cold/flu - rest, plenty of fluids, cough syrup, pain killers, etc.

I would try one or more of the following:
Elderberry (Sambucus nigra). Why: It's the traditional antiviral in Western countries. It's comparable to the drug Oseltamivir, but has been more effective in comparison studies. It has inhibitory effects and interferes with viral replication to protect cells from virus infections.
Barberry (Berberis vulgaris). Why: This is also comparable to Oseltamivir with inhibitory effects.
Rosemary (Rosamarinus officinalis). Why: Also inhibitory effects.
Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus). Why: Astralagus polysaccharide enhances immunity and inhibits some virus strains.
Echinacea (Echinacea augustifolia). Why: It has immune modulating activities and suppresses pro-inflammatory cytokines which may prevent cytokine storm.
Curcumin (Curcuma longa). Why: It also inhibits pro-inflammatory cytokines and may prevent cytokine storm.
I might add vitamin C and D, and zinc.

I have other things to try for symptoms, depending on what they are, such as:
Mullein for cough
Hyssop or Lungwort for breathing difficulties or other respiratory issues.
I'm not recommending; this is what we have in mind at our house just in case.

I may include other possibilities as we think of them, or based on your suggestions.

Thanks.

Your choices are good, I’d add olive leaf, licorice and oregano to fight the infection. For breathing, hot tea with manuka honey, and herbs that are good to help with breathing are elecampane, mullein, plantain and lobelia. Herbs like licorice and lobelia need to be taken carefully, but they are effective.

We forgot about olive leaf but don't have any anyway. Barberry would have to be used instead. I use licorice root tea somewhat regularly for other things, but you are right - that adaptogen with Chinese skullcap might also be used to suppress a cytokine storm with SARS. You've given me a reminder that adaptogenic herbs are very useful and this is no exception. My wife already uses them for autoimmune so we are well stocked with several of them. Thanks for your input.

I already take at least 4 of what OP mentioned, all for prevention, but thinking over the weeks IF I should be hit, and I don't believe it will, I'd give Oscillo a try right away. And continue with what I now take.

You’re welcome and thanks for your input. It’s a very good post, because all of us should be going through our herbs and vitamins and restocking what we might need if we get sick. I forgot about the Chinese skullcap, but have never tried it and will probably have to order it.

I also forgot to add kefir. Comments on various sites have been saying how well it works to keep your immune system up, so I’m buying it at the grocery. The taste is not bad.

Very cool and informative thread!

I've been taking Emergen-C daily for the past month. I picked up a fresh bottle of black seed oil, just in case...

I looked up homeopathic remedies and ordered them online.

I would search natural remedies in addition to the above.

Quercetin is also good and just today I was reading about boneset for viral illnesses.

I would also look into energy medicine. Donna Eden has a move she calls the “triple warmer smoothie” that’s supposed to calm down an overactive immune system...I was thinking specifically of that inflammatory cytokine storm that makes your organs shut down. I think you’d have to be too far gone to do it on yourself in the hospital but not all of us will be able to go to the hospital. She’s got a lot of free material on YouTube.

A newly-published study found that this coronavirus can weaken the immune response by attacking T cells, the cells that destroy infections, which may cause worse outcome. https://www.news-medical.net/news/20...-like-HIV.aspx

Just wanted to point out that Echinacea purpurea studies have shown that it increases T cell production.
