This is a new one for leg cramps. By a dr's advise, my friend downs a packet of mustard fromMcdonalds by itself whenher legs get bad during the nite and in less than 10 mins they are gone. So far leg cramps have never been a problem for me so I couldnt try it. She swears by it.

This is now the second time I've heard of using mustard for leg cramps. The first time was last year when I was on a flight from TX to IN, and the elderly woman across the aisle from me suddenly complained of leg/foot cramps. She tried to stand for a bit, but when that didn't help, the flight attendant brought her some yellow mustard packets. She swallowed one packet and her cramps disappeared. I was stunned.
I've suffered from toe/foot/leg cramps since I was a teenager, with one so bad I was stuck in my car in an intersection because I couldn't move either foot. I've tried vitamins, minerals, gatorade, water, and quinine (which gave me severe side-effects that mimicked malaria). I finally tried the mustard cure last year when a foot cramp woke me from sleep...it was nothing short of a miracle.
One thing the lady from the airplane told me was that it may be the vinegar in the mustard, not the mustard itself. She has also had good effect drinking a little pickle juice, too.
If you Google "Drinking Pickle Juice" you will find that at one time NFL players drank pickle juice to prevent game day cramps. Afer reading the above post it reminded me of reading this about pickle juice years ago. I don't know if they still do or not. Not a sports fan.
You may want to try wrapping sore areas in cayenne powder mixed with a food grade coconut oil. Its not quite as smelly. Its really great for sore bones too. I have a messed up ankle from skating that acts up here and again. Cay + oil works like a charm.
What I do:
Oil it up
Season my ankle with the powder heavily. (lol)
Wrap in plastic
Wrap in ace bandge
Leave on for a hour or so.(you will feel it loosen up/soften)
Sometimes the ingredients say there's turmeric in the mustard, which is actually an anti-inflammatory.
For actual cramps though it could be a sign of mineral deficiency, try some electrolites or calcium/magnesium/potassium.

Would that work for tendinitis as well?
