Anyone have experience with ear candling? Im curious if it helps with hearing, sinuses, and if it was worth it or not. Thanks

I had it done about a month ago and plan on doing it again. It helped clear out my ears - I have a lot of sinus issues - especially this time of the year - my ears felt more open and I did notice a difference.

I didn't have a lot of ear wax - but more yeast than the lady had every seen. I just found out an old friend of mine does it and said if I bought the candles she'd help do it for me.

It's cheaper too if you get the candles yourself at a health food store and do it yourself.
I think it does help open up the ears more.
Off the subject some but if you have sinus problems, get a neti pot and use it. That would be the best thing.

My friend/massage therapist did it for me at the end of spring. There was so much pollen in there it was pretty gross. Definately felt better. A lot of people say its bogus, but i am into anything alternative and believe it works.

There was a definite noticeable difference after I had it done - so I believe. It is not something you should do too often. I do it about monthly. Having some wax in your ear is good.

Do sinus rinses too.

Regarding your ears and sinuses - do you have GERD?? My ears often feel clogged or full - a lot. When I discuss it with the dr he says they look fine. The dr said it could be from the acid reflux - it can go clear up into your throat and irritate your sinuses and the eustachian tube.

I agree with Songinthewind and Kansaschick about the nettipot/sinus rinse.

I also use high grade Oil of Oregano...nasty stuff but effective with all kinds of anti-fungul, anti-inflamatory, anti-bacterial stuff.
