Just like anything else, there are good ND's and not so good ones. I live near Asheville, and there were several that only wanted money. However, I found one that is fantastic! I think that it's like anything else, you just need to use your head and do some research. An ND is a wonderful alternative to traditional medicine, they treat your whole being, not the symptoms. In treating just the symptoms how can you ever really fully recover. An ND literally saved my daughter from years and years of misery when she had a bad reaction to a vaccine. I swear by them!!!
I think give it a go. Make sure though that you can mix whatever herbs /supps with the medications you are already on. Ask him, ask your doctor, ask the pharmacy AND look it all up yourself.
Also if he recommends any parasite cleanses go to your regular MD to check on your kidneys and liver to see if they can handle it. I say this because if you age of your organs. A lot can happen to take a toll on them by now..Dont know what you did lifestyle wise before. So play it safe.
Personally I think you should get a digital prostate exam and have your testosterone levels checked too by your MD.

So what exactly is your diagnosis doctor??
I mean, 2 very specific tests like that you must have a narrowed your differential diagnosis down considerably...
Should the OP post the results of those exams for your interpretation and treatment recommendations as well??
There honey...Now you take care and heal yourself and then maybe you wont feel so angry and fight everything in the world to validate your existence and poignancy.
I would def see an NP over an MD. $75 for 90 minutes isnt bad considering a regular doc (w/out insurance) is at least that much for 2 minutes..lol. Once a regular doc knows you dont have insurance they would rather you die in the waiting room then help you

Isn't that the truth!! My husband was fired from a Dr because we only had $40 to pay, not $60. My husband has diabetes and just needed refills, but the doc wouldn't see him. OTOH, my daughter had a bad reaction to a shot and the ND worked with us on the payments, because insurance wouldn't cover it. I would love to BE an ND!
