Chile's Lan airline has completed a takeover of Brazil's Tam, creating the world's second largest airline by market value, to be known as Latam

If anyone has ever flown TAM you would know they are actually a pretty good airline.

Its interesting that the new airline is now called LATAM, almost to mean LATin AMerica; even though, it really is the combination of LAN and TAM.

Funny, a lot of this will be Brazilians going to Miami for cheaper stuff, so I say let's merge 'em!

Glad that Chile and Brazil seem to be getting along. They are both awfully powerful in the region.
