As for American-born immigrants who live abroad as expatriates. The biggest communities seem to be in the following locations...
Costa Rica...lots scattered throughout the country.
Mexico...many different parts of Mexico, but San Miguel de Allende seems to have the largest.
Ecuador...the BBC claimed that 5,000 US citizens (many retirees) are in Cuenca...low cost of living and affordable medical care.

Anymore that I am missing?
The numbers in Cuenca are only large due to the distance. Every major Canadian city has far more than 5,000 US citizens living permanently plus probably that many on visits as well on any given day. Far more than 5,000 live in Tijuana and commute across the border, albeit a very unique situation with many dual citizens or just citizens by birth location. Distance really matters when it comes to immigration so just assume most places close to the US probably have quite a few US citizens residing there.
These are the percentages the World Bank estimates for each country (they round the figures):
Canada 21
Belize 14
United States 14 Costa Rica 11
Puerto Rico 9 Argentina 4
Dominican Republic 4
Ecuador 3
Panama 3
Trinidad & Tobago 3
Venezuela 3 Chile 2
Guyana 2
Paraguay 2
Uruguay 2
Bolivia 1
El Salvador 1
Mexico 1
Nicaragua 1 Brazil 0
Colombia 0
Cuba 0
Guatemala 0
Haiti 0
Honduras 0
Peru 0

Having "tons of Mexicans' isnt exactly "diverse"...Having Arabs, Indians, Pakistanis, Filipinos, Chinese AND Mexicans, Nows thats diverse and thats the norm in most Canadian cities big or small.

Diversity means tons of people form many different places across the world, not just being non-white. Having a town who's foreigners are 99% Mexican is not diverse at all.
Even within the white population there is plenty of diversity from Germans to Ukrainians and Italians and Portuguese. I don't know why some people don't equate diversity with white people given that it could mean a number of different backgrounds.

Because diversity is a racist dog whistle code word for anti-white

Actually, it's the fault of many "whites" of the past that instituted color labels (white/black) for classification rather than maintaining & respecting ethnic groups. For example, people in Africa weren't (and still arent) running around calling everybody "blacks." There were and still are tons of ethnic identifiers. Only due to the European-originated classification system and their imposition of color labeling on certain others did the "black" label for African peoples in general. Asians, generally speaking, use ethnic identifiers rather than color ones as well.
Europeans of the past instituted the whole idea of "whiteness," so now that is often how so many are seen...as simply "white" with little to no recognition of the different ethnicities.
