Portuñol is just Brazilians pretending to speak Spanish!

There are many jokes in Brazil about it.

Even TV ads about "Portuñol" speaking Brazilians getting in trouble in Buenos Aires were aired in Brazilian TV a few years ago.

NEVER say that a girl is a little "embarazada" in Buenos Aires! NEVER! That would be embarrassing... and dangerous!

No true Brazilian would dilute musical Brazilian Portuguese to add in boring and rough sounding Spanish.

Only when we need to communicate with the Spanish-speaking folks!

They can't understand Portuguese as easily as we understand Spanish, so we need to try Portuñol!

True but Portuguese is such a more beautiful language. It puts French to shame. Spanish is just ugly.
