So, who do you think that "someone" was that had an interest in those riots? Brazil is not Venezuela, where the CIA is messing around.

In SP and Rio in particular the cost of living is rising fast, the average income is low compared to the average cost of living, especially rents.

I saw a movie once called City of God about a guy who lived in a favela who became a photographer, one of the best movies I had ever seen.

favelas are like the us urban housing projects, at least in chicago. low income and high density is just not a good combo.
