Amerindians evolved from east Asians and probably explains many of the physical similarities that exist between the two groups.
This is why companies that do ancestry DNA testing usually includes eastern Asia and all of the Western Hemisphere (referring to the Amerindian groups) as a combined group.
When I first did my 23andme test, I was not sure if my "Asian" DNA (which amounts to slightly more than 5% of my genes) was actually Asian or Amerindian, because it simply said "Asian" but had eastern Asia and all of America shaded in yellow or orange.
After 23andme did an update to its testing technique, they still have eastern Asia and all of America shaded in the same color, but now they are able to distinguish east Asian DNA from Amerindian. It turns out that the slightly more than 5% of "Asian" DNA that I have is actually Amerindian.
Anyway, Amerindians evolved from east Asians, remember that they arrived in America by crossing the Bearing Straight from modern Russia to modern Alaska and from there they migrated south towards southern America. Then, a small group that had settled in Venezuela canoed their way up the Lesser Antilles and later the Greater Antilles in the Caribbean. According to anthropologists and other scientists that deal with this, is how all of America was peopled by Amerindians until 1492 and a shift in political/cultural/etc paradigm took place once Christopher Columbus discovered all of this.
I have met a few Filipinos and except for one that looked like a typical white Latin American, all the others I would had confused for some Latin American Amerindian or mestizo group if they had never told me they were Filipino. People shouldn't forget that the Philippines was also an integral part of the Spanish Empire and was governed for centuries from Mexico City. In fact, the Spanish authorities made it a habit to send Mexicans to Manila to help rule the Philippines.
The USA took over Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines after winning the Spanish-American war in 1898. They gave the Philippines its independence rather quickly, while they tried to make Cuba and Puerto Rico nothing short than American colonies. Cuba got away, but Puerto Rico is still within the US grip.

Excellent Antonio... You were able to explain it very well
Umm....Hasn't India won the most Miss Universe/World titles? We always seem to win every third year or so. There was a time I think in the late 90s-early 2000s when we won three years in a row.
I guess the 3 major beauty pageant is Miss World, Universe and International
there's too many pageantry world wide like Earth, Asia Pacific, International Tourism, Supranational, Grand International etc.
Because the countries with the biggest followings usually win or go far.....meaning the ones that go the furthest are the most well prepared, have the most fans, and have put most money into it in terms of hair style, dresses, makeup, plastic surgery, etc....they aren't looking at natural beauty, they are looking for pageant beauty which is different and should not be mistaken.
For Venezuelans, beauty pageants are everything!! They live and breathe beauty pageants...they also live and breathe plastic surgery. I can tell the present winner has had tons of plastic surgery to her face.
You can't say the same for Americans, Europeans, Africans, etc....beauty pageants are not as important to them as it once was. Actresses and models are more important.
And also, of course funny things happen in the background, there are always politics at play as well and money involved.

Not sure where you are getting your information from, but you are incorrect with all your information. Olivia Culpo (USA (Rhode Island)/Miss Universe 2012) just surrendered the crown to Miss Venezuela.
