What kind of measurement are they using??

Currently Argentina is the solid third largest economy in Latin America and it's likely to continue this way...

2013 GDP
Argentina: 484,596
Colombia: 369,225

2014 GDP (projected)
Argentina: 497,194
Colombia: 388,858

Data from IMF, in Millions of US$.
Nothing changes if we consider PPP.

Actually;
Argentina is nearing 800 billion GDP (PURCHASING POWER PARITY)
Colombia is barely at 526 Billion GDP
Peru is nearing 350 Billion GDP
Chile is at 335 Billion GDP
Panama is at par with Puerto Rico near the bottom with only 64 Billion GDP

Wrong info. There won't be 2014 GDP index until last quarter of current year.
