From Globo I've enjoyed Senhora do destino, Celebridade and the novelas of Manoel Carlos, specially Laços de familia.
On the other hand, Xica da Silva -a non Globo novela- it's probably one of my favorite novelas ever.
If I had the opportunity to watch Globo productions in Portuguese, I'd be happy to be a novela fan again.

I live in USA, but we have the channel here on (AT&T UVerse Latino package) Pasiones which shows a lot of Brazilian TV novelas. The Brazilian novelas are the BEST! with the Colombian novelas coming in a close second...
Yes, its It is going on tv again here successfully again. Do you live in Portugal?
Yes, but O Globo on my provider comes in two sizes, so to speak: the regular O Globo, which comes with your basic package, and then for an extra charge Globo Premio. I have only the former.
