Bahamas-Baha Mar Resort (visiting, 2015, hotel)

I have gone to The Bahamas the past few years, and have looked forward to seeing the Baha Mar hotel being opened. I see they are having all sorts of problems, they went Bankrupt, and haven't ever opened.

I'm curious to read others have heard. I'll be visiting the Bahamas in April and wanted to take a look, but from what I can tell they won't be opened still. Maybe I'm wrong though, and one of you all knows some else.

Well years later I finally visited the Baha Mar. The casino is a little more modern than Atlantis, but pretty much the same. Not too busy when I was there on Saturday night, but I imagine they are ciphering off from the Atlantis crowd which didn't seem as busy as it normally is. Hopefully their existence drives competition and forces Atlantis to upgrade their facilities.

I spoke with numerous locals, and their opinion thus far was relatively positive regarding Baha Mar. I was told everybody loses there, but I didn't believe them. I had to find out first hand they were right!
