This has to be one of the largest, if mot the largest, jackpot won by a Haitian in the Dominican Republic. Rony Saint-Vil is photographed at the headquarters of LEIDSA (the lottery company) receiving the check for RD$19 million (more than US$356,000). If you think that makes him a lucky guy, this is actually the second time he wins the Domini an lottery. lol

Keep in mind that a single US dollar buys more in the Dominican Republic than in the USA, so the amount he got actually allows him a greater purchasing power. Hopefully he is smart and saves some of it and invest some more because whether little or a lot, money doesn't grow on trees. Winning the lottery is hard, to win it twice is extremely unlikely.
