Hi Everybody,
Been a while since posting on here. Just wanted to do a post to say how badly i miss AK and can't wait to get back. Lived in Anc. twice. Last time i lived in Fairbanks for a year. I got a store transfer from there to Honolulu. I accepted it to experience Hawaii as i never been there before. That was a mistake. When i got there, i was only given minimum wage and 20 hours a week. I was mislead big time. I will never go back to Hawaii again.

I find it was more costly in Hawaii than Alaska. But my heart belongs to Alaska. Once i move back there, there is where i will stay, there is where i will call home.

I am currently in Phoenix dreading this 115 degree weather. I will be able to move back to Alaska by Oct. 1st.,or sooner. Will go back to Anchorage. Looking forward to going back! I will be an Alaskan again! And Alaskan forever!

Thanks for reading. God bless all.
AKBOY

Wow! I posted this 2 weeks ago, and not 1 reply. I know those who live in Alaska have pride. For people like me who have lived there before and had to leave, but now want to return and make Alaska their forever home, i was hoping to get some feedback, or at least some "welcome back" etc. Or someone saying "glad you want to make Alaska your home". Maybe i was expecting too much. Either way, i am returning, and staying.

It's summertime. Not a lot of people spending there extra time on the internets.

Hope all goes well in your plans to get back, akboy! At least the experience showed you where you really want to be......anytime you learn something about yourself it's not a total loss!

Stiff is right, I've noticed the boards slow down alot with it being summer. The season is short even if the weather isn't cooperating

Keep us posted on your travels!

Thanks everybody for your replies! I can't wait to get back there, hopefully within 2 more months. Have always lived near the downtown area, but thinking south Anchorage this time maybe.
