Is anyone familiar with the LGBT community in Anchorage? I hear they have a pride parade annually?

My second question is what are the heating costs in the area?
Thanks

We seem to be pretty tolerant up here. My Gay Friends from Europe were visiting last week and even 2 men with a baby did not get any strange looks (at least none that I saw).
There are is at least one designated gay bar here.
There are a few open transvestites here and I am pretty sure there is one transgender person here that I know of. (I know hardly anyone, very small social circle)

If you are LGBT then you will probably find a lot of people you have things in common with.

And our GAS (heat, hot water, stove) bill for winter is about $300 or so a month for a 200sq ft house w/7 people, BUT we are also on budget pay and our monthly average is $100.

I have friends in the LGBT community here & there are indeed gay pride parades. In fact, the year the mayor removed a gay pride display from the library members from all cross sections of the community marched in protest including whole traditional families with children.

Mad Myrnas is the local LGBT bar but cross sections of the community attend for performances such as Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I love small homes. Do you ever look at the Tiny House Blog? It's inspiring.
