Hi everyone--I will be moving to Anchorage January 17. What are the different parts of the city like? What parts are more costly, cheaper? I guess a good way to phrase the question is, if you, knowing what you do now, had to move to Anchorage, where in Anchorage would you move?

Thanks so much! I can't wait to get up there.

Where will you be working, Nurse2B? I would take work location into consideration for residence location.

Hey now! I'm going to be with Providence. I am in touch with work relocation as of today. Geee....I am so terribly excited. I met a connection on another website too. We'll see how it goes. Blessed be!

The university area has some nice areas some right up against groomed ski/bike/walking trails. For example, check out College Gate. There are a lot of affordable areas in mid-town, close to shopping & close to Providence/UAA. If you have questions about certain locations, holler.
