Yes, one of the rules in traffic circles are that drivers should maintain a constant speed and following distance to allow vehicles entering to safely merge without stopping.

Anchorage drivers following rules - that's a good one - buwahahahah.

Right, yield - not stop.
But what if, in a BIG traffic, cars in round-about go non-stop... yielding to all of them CAN make one stop!

Here's the deal:

I am from THE round-a-bout-capital of Northern Europe. In the twin cities of Jönköping/Huskvarna where I grew up, there is, literally, a round-a-bout at every intersection. Drive there for 1 minute and you'll go through atleast 3 or 4 round-a-bouts.

BUT

I cannot understand the frickin round-a-bout near the Alaska Humane Society (on E 76th) and the A1! It ain't no frickin round-a-bout, let me tell you guys I know round-a-bouts and I LOVE them. But that thing that must have cravled up through a crack made by the earthquake in '64 is NOT a round-a-bout! It is instead the most hellish thing in the Anchorage traffic and it needs to go!

Meet me there on Wednesday and we'll make it crawl back to where it came from ...
