ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- For years, the man known as Rafael Espinoza was widely respected as an exemplary police officer who was popular among his peers in Alaska's largest city.

All that ended this week when authorities discovered he was really Mexican national Rafael Mora-Lopez, who was in the U.S. illegally and stole another man's identity, officials charged.

Illegal immigrant police officers are the least of the problems, most prosecutors belong behind bars themselves, they destroy alot of innocent lives to try to get their case rates up, all it takes is for them to file some paper work and it automaticly costs the defendant 20-25k to get adaquate defense even if its open and shut. You only qualify for a free attorny if your dirt poor so its the middle class that gets slammed but even if you get a free attorny the quality is suspect or the throuroughness they will defend you.

If you ever get caught up in the legal system it will bankrupt you, just like if you get sick without medical insurance, however, there is no litigation insurance. Maybe they should create it, of course what employer would cover that lol.

Anchorage Alaska used to be a Sanctuary City, but it's my understanding that status has been in dispute for a couple of years now. Maybe that is how he was able to become a cop here in the first place. ?????
