Hello, my husband and I will be moving to Anchorage in a few weeks. I was wondering if any of you could help me in suggesting places to live. He will be working at Fort Richardson, and I will be working off of Debarr Road. Where would be a good "middle point" between our two work places that is in a good neighborhood? Or just any suggestions of good neighborhoods that are easy to get to these two points. Thanks!!!

there are many nice neighborhoods in Anchorage. Best advice I can give you is to get here and look for yourself.

My brother in-law lives in a really nice neighborhood predominantly populated by other servicemen, i honestly forget the exact name but i am pretty sure it is called Eagle Creek. Very nice neighborhood.

But really most of Anchorage is nice, and it has a very extensive public transportation service.

Welcome to Alaska and i hope your move is very uneventful
