Anchorage breaks record snowfall, and here in Seattle we set a new record high for the day. Some are saying we broke 70 degrees today, but I checked my thermometer a couple of times and it was reading 66 degrees in the shade. After spending so much time running at humid below average temperatures, today almost felt too hot!

Hey there... I'm Sean... my family and I will be moving back to Alaska in a year... I lived in anchorage for 14 years and moved to Virginia in 1991.. I have always missed Alaska and we've decided to put our house on the market in coming January... and move soon after... I love your pics and wanted to ask if there are any areas to live that are near anchorage but in the woods... its been so long since I've been there,,I don't know where to start.....

Kind of depends on your definition of “in the woods” and how near Anchorage you want to be, how much money you have to buy a house or rent, etc.
