With the nice weather upon us, I'd like to haul our bicycles around to different areas for riding I'm looking to put a Class I hitch on my Honda Accord to accommodate a Thule hitch mount bike rack (or similar). I've used roof racks before, however they can be a bit unwieldy loading and unloading bikes.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a business that deal with hitches and installation? I'm open to Anchorage, the Valley, or points between.

Trailercraft & White Spruce Trailer Sales are the two places I know of.

U-Haul installs them, they're all over the valley.

In Anchorage, TrailerCraft or Truckwell are the places to go for quality, heavy-duty hitches. But they may just laugh at a wimpy Class 1 hitch job!

U-Haul would probably be better for a light hitch like that.

Had several heavy duty receiver hitches installed by U Haul. Did a nice job, took about half an hour, drove up no appointment, and at the time quite a bit less expensive than the other places.

If it is like u-hauls here I say u-haul... I put a class 1 hitch from them on my wife's car. Way way cheaper than the dealer and it was all bolt on. Not worried about welding for a class 1. And u would not be if all you are doing is loading bikes on it...
