How much money does a state trooper make in Alaska? (salary, living)

Its my dream to be an Alaska state trooper when I grow up. So I was wondering how much do State troopers make? I can't find it on the internet so do any of you know? Also what kind of benefits do state troopers get?

They pay varies wildly as locations have COLA allowances. Plus, some areas afford you cheaper living spaces as a result of taking a bush post.

Read up on those previous links. I was able to quickly figure out salary ranges once you become a Trooper (after you graduate the academy whether as a new recruit or lateral) only downside is that they do not have pensions anymore, just a 401k type program. You have to put in some of your salary towards it, the state puts in some, and you can put in more if you want to. If done right you can have a nice nest egg saved up for retirement.

Also, look at what senior troopers currently make. That amount tops $100k per year gross. But that should be a secondary reason as to why you want to be a trooper/police officer, because if it is your first you have a high chance of not making it thru the academy and field training program.
