Good day! I wanted to introduce myself as the newb who will be visiting the boards frequently and hopefully not pestering too much with my questions. My family and I will be visiting here in March and spending a few days in Anchorage and Fairbanks. After the visit, we are hoping to relocate within the year after. My husband and I are both in IT and from the research I've been doing, there seems to be a need for it up there. Any advice is always appreciated and encouraged! Silly question first off... are there any welcoming committee type places around that anyone knows of? (I'm so Midwestern, I know) I just think it would be nice if we knew how or where to go and meet other transplanters or others within the community.
