The entrance to Fort Richardson is inbetween Anchorage and Eagle River. So you could pick a hotel in either location and only be 10 minutes away.
Anchorage has quite a few hotels to choose from, Eagle River has fewer choices. Below are a couple nice hotels located in downtown Anchorage, and one nice motel located in Eagle River.
