Morning all!

9 weeks & 3 days until I am back in Anchorage! Can't wait!!

Question - was talking to a friend and he mentioned that the foothills area I used to live in around Muldoon & 36th isn't the safest area anymore.

I loved that neighborhood. Any input you could provide about the area?

Thanks so much!

we own a house over there, if you head West on 36th, off Muldoon.
It's very quite and they just redid the roads in the Scenic Foothills Neighborhood too!
Kids roam the streets playing and a few cops and other law enforcement folk live in that area.
I like it.

Thanks so much! Good to know. It was a great neighborhood when my son was younger.

I used to live in the area behind Totem. Never had a problem there. I will say that the area doesn't "look" as nice. It just seems more run down, but I don't know anything about safety. I haven't hear of there being any more crime.

BTW, I'm not sure if its still available, but the state used to have a sex offender registry that you could check by street (and zip code I believe). There were a number of registered sex offenders in that area, although I'm not aware of any problems.
