Wife and I will be in Anchorage for a full day at the end of June. Can you recommend some things for us to do? Just two adults with no children in tow. We are in our fifties. We will be there after taking a tour north of Denali National Park. You might include favorite places to eat (any kind of food--just not outrageously expensive). I'm thinking things focused on the outdoors might be best because I imagine the weather at the end of June is pretty good. How long does daylight last there towards the end of June?

It's light all night then I think. I like downtown Anchorage..lots of history. But there are a few areas to avoid, like the bus transit station on 6th and G Street. Homeless bum central. That sounds a bit cold because many are nice but some are to be avoided.
