Not much life in here! I am the only one posting and I am not an Alaskan! I suppose you are just going to work and coming home , eat, go to bed. Is it dark most of the time? Hope you are all
keeping warm and will come out of your caves soon and post something. At least comment on my new color lol! What is the weather doing in Anchorage now? Western Oregon has been up to 60's! Okay, tired of talking to myself, although I do that pretty well!

It's been warm and rainy in the SE. Most of us down here have been trying to not get washed away by all of the rain.

I'm getting my truck ready to leave on another trip down south. Doing things different this time. Will drive to Haines take the ferry to Ketchikan and spend a few weeks there. Then will take the ferry to Bellingham and on to the rest of the lower 48. I like driving the whole trip but wanted to spend time in KTN with my son and grandson. So this will work out good.

Saturday I shoveled the driveway, went to the gym, did a few chores around the house and then went to a Sportsman Dinner. Sunday went to church, grabbed some lunch, watch a little TV, went for a walk and got some great sunset pictures.
Today I got up and went to work. I'll hit the grocery store on the way home, grill up some hamburgers for dinner (yes, with a grill outside. It's not that cold...) and then hit the gym.

So they do exist! Nice pic and rundown of your day, Ak. Some of you guys are pretty cold! I am looking out my window right now at blue skies and not sure about temp. I used to have it on my bing toolbar, but must have knocked it off. I think it is supposed to be in 60's.
Cold is good as long as you have a warm place to get out of it. I bet you guys have a helluva electric bill.I pay about 150.00 in middle of winter. Sometimes more. I do have a wood stove, but it's too much work to actually use it to keep warm. I just have fires when I want to. It won't be long till spring if the astroid doesn't hit us!

We use natural gas for heat.

Us too. We do have a woodstove at the cabin as our only source of heat. Well except when cutting or splitting or packing wood inside. You get pretty warm doing that.

-48*F this morning, and it never did warm up much and it doesn't look like it's going to for several days at least.

^^We don't have natural gas here (well, apparently some lucky few do)... woodstove + heating fuel here.

I wonder how 6.7 is doing. He's only got a woodstove, propane cook stove (it could have gelled-up depending on what elevation he's at), and a diesel generator. This is his first cold snap.
