The plan is to move from Anchorage (Eagle River), Alaska to Oahu, Hawaii in mid January 2016. I plan to sell as much as I can including the vehicles because it seems way too expensive to ship. I would like to take as little as possible utilizing the cheapest method.
For example
U-Haul U-Box for 1 box from Anchorage to Honolulu is $7,500. That just sounds too expensive for how small the box is.
UPack.com is about $6,200 for 1 small container.
Any other cheaper ways to ship household items. Any suggestions on how to move would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
