Why do women act so weird when you approach them in public like they just seen a ghost in this town?

Is there a reputation of creepers in this town or something? Seems like the only way to meet women here is through other people that "grew" up here otherwise not sure lol.

I saw the title of this thread and thought maybe Pitts had made his way back into the fold.

I have to admit that I miss that guy. CD/Alaska was certainly more interesting with him around.

I've tried to warn women & men about moose, bears, dogs & drunks on the trails in the direction they are going and most act like I'm invading their auditory bubble. I have given up.

While we were in town, I swear I saw his plane by the airport post office.

Because it's weird to "approach" people in public? It's one thing if you're doing the same activity in the same place (e.g. I might chat with a stranger if we end up next to one another in a line, or beside one another while watching an event, or whatever) or are at a place where socialization is a common goal (e.g. a bar or a class) but a random stranger who, like, zooms up on you while you're out for a walk or shopping or whatever...discomfiting.

Even approaching people in bars can be iffy. If I stop for a beer with one of my mates and some asshat "approaches" us, guess what -- creeped out.

Idk, OP...it's probably something with your approach and not the women. Of course, maybe Pitts got there first, who knows. Can you join a club or something where you can meet people with common interests?
