Hello Everyone.
Have a quick question.
The wife unit and I are moving to SW AK.
In doing so, we plan on having a two day layover in Anchorage to get those last few things we cannot buy down here.
(Good gloves, headware, and perhaps parkas/anoraks. You see, New Orleans has no Arctic gear stores. Who'd a thunk it?)
The question is, since we are bringing our dog, can anyone recommennd a hotel close to the airport that takes pets?
We will be short on time and want to make the best of it.
Sure, I have looked online, but it really makes a difference asking folks who are actually there and not part of the hotel staff.
(According to every hotel we looked at, they are all the absolutely best place to stay.)

I think the new Motel 6 takes dogs. It's pretty close to the airport. Make sure you hit up the Army Navy store downtown. They've got the industrial cold weather gear.
