Hello,

Our cruise ship from Vancouver will reach Seward on Friday July 6th and we have return flight from Anchorage on July 8th night at 8:30
I have two full days to explore Seward. We are on a budget, trying to find cabin kind of place with a small loft for kids for two night. Please suggest a place. Also what should be do during our stay in Seward. Please suggest.

Thanking you
Aadil

Using your own criteria, I searched Google and these are the results:

There are numerous budget cabins that appear on the results page.

I would book something ASAP. Cabin rentals in Alaska book up months in advance. Don't know what your price range is, but finding budget rentals during that time of year probably won't happen.

We were there last year. Very small but there were fun things to do.

1. Epic Glacier Walk (need car). But even if cannot climb to glacier, the walk around the park is nice.
2. Any boat ride for sightseeing.
3. SeaLife Center within walking distance, like 2 blocks from downtown. Great for kids and adults. I was fascinated by the puffins and there is one there that is a total clown.

Walk along the beach and you might see a seal or otter as we did. We got to see a Bald Eagle at the port.

Seward is beautiful but tiny (about 2 blocks long with a port). I used to live in Alaska and had never been there.

We ate at the Cookery across from our hotel twice since it was that good. Looks plain on the outside and is only open for limited hours. It is probably one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. You can see pictures and reviews on Yelp.com
.

Are you retired or active military? There is a really nice recreational center in Seward.

In addition to whatever advice you get here, you might also do some research on the TripAdvisor forum for Alaska: https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowForu...49-Alaska.html
I stayed here a couple of summers ago, but you'll need a rental car to get there: Welcome - Ravenquest Cabins Seward, Alaska

Find a place and book it now. As in now. The dates you list are about as busy as Seward will be all year.

Not related to military. But my heartfelt thanks to those who serve the country.

Will you have transportation? Millers Landing is a cool place but it is a mile or so out of town.
