I'm going for a vacation this summer. It sounds like a great place to be. I wondering how much more groceries are there, and if there's any internet.

They have a full service grocery with refrigerated milk, Internet, flush toilets and a McDonalds. It's a first class city.....

What about a Wendy's?

Yeah I read they have a Safeway. Just wondering what a gallon of milk costs. And a six pack of beer.

I'm wondering how much will you be spending on gas to drive your 41 Willys from Seattle to Homer.

If you're in Homer, you dont want to buy beer from the safeway chain corporate Man man. You want to go to the local homer brewing company Homer Brewing Company . They only sell it by the growler or individual 16 and 32 oz to go bottles.

Also the farmers market in Homer is pretty epic by Alaskan standards and worth checking out.

Other must do's in homer
-Go across the bay via water taxi and go on a world class hike up to a glacier.
-Halibut fishing charter
-Alice's champagne palace
-East End Saloon
-Drive to the top of West Hill Road to skyline, then drive the entire length of skyline rd, and then down Olson mt road to the end, then back.
-Drive East End road out to the end.
-North Fork Loop road in anchor point
-Bishops Beach

Homer is a really cool town. I lived there for two summers when I first came up to Alaska and miss it greatly at times.

Outstanding! Thank you.

It sounds like a year round place. It sounds similar to Sitka but more domesticated.

Why did you leave? If you don't mind me asking.
