Howdy,
Does anyone know of a bus line or shuttle service from Anchorage to Girdwood mid-week? It seems most of the options are for groups, summer, or weekends only. Anyone anyone? I prefer not to rent a car, and taxi seems a bit pricey.
Thanks in advance....

Its hard in the winter. I would give Magic Bus a call. 907-230-6773
Or Girdwood Shuttle (907) 783-1900.
Hope that helps!

From what I gather, the Magic Bus is for group reservations, and the Girdwood Shuttle has gone off-line. Their Facebook page says they have ceased weekday shuttles until further notice. Argh! So...I guess that's it for options? Is there a regular bus line that runs between say ANC and Seward and makes a stop in Girdwood? What's hitching like in AK? hehe

Thanks for the responses though, I'll give Girdwood Shuttle a call after the New Year, who knows, maybe they'll have kicked in again.

I think you're SOL this time of year, but you might give Alyeska a call. They may have some sort of shuttle for skiers.

Hi Met - yeah I think I am SOL. The Alyeska shuttle is only on weekends. I just have a couple of free days and unfortunately they don't fall on the weekend...so...guess I'll have to cough up the cash. C'est la vie!
