Thanks, good to know.

It is a big difference here at Denver, where more than 300 sunny days per year.

I would agree, I always feel like I'm shoveling in the dark or under cloudy skies. The sun won't help if there's no sun to begin with... I can't remember the last time I've seen sun after a huge snowfall.

I realize this thread's a little older, but I too moved from Denver (Littleton) to the Ann Arbor area. We actually live in Brighton.

I have to say, after 3.5 years here now, I HATE the winter in MI. So much so that I will not stay here. I knew it was gray, but after living through now my 4th winter here it just does not get any easier. It's not the cold---Denver is just as cold if not colder. It's not the snow--there isnt much but what does fall turns to ice and stays for weeks. It's the gray.

I do all the survival things everyone suggests: I exercise, I got tanning once a week, I take my Vit D, I use a light box, I walk outside whenever the sun comes out. And all of that does help, dont get me wrong. But some days it's just not enough. The hardest times for me are the 1,2,3 WEEKS of uninterrupted gray skies. I dont understand why anyone settled here. I guess they got a taste of summer first and then got stuck.

So anyways, if I could bring Colorado's weather here, I'd stay for a long time. But coming from a state where it's sunny 75% of the time, you just never get used to it.

Nope, looks like a good area. Have relatives in Dexter, its a nice small town. Nice little downtown too.
