Northside Cafe, on Plymouth Road near where Plymouth, Pontiac Trial, Broadway, and Maiden Lane run together, used to have great breakfasts. So did the Flim Flam, farther out on Plymouth. I have not eaten at either for many years so not sure what the quality is now. There also used to be a restaurant in downtown A2, on one of the side streets, that was only open for breakfast and lunch. I can't remember the name or the location. It was west of Main, on either Liberty or the next street north. Their food was great, but I don't know if it even still exists. Does anyone know the restaurant?

I would definitely say Cafe Zola- Downtown on Washington St.- great food, coffee/espresso and setting. Angelo's, Northside and Fleetwood are good but for the sake of trying something new, Zola offers somthing a little more unique..

I place for just coffee Downtown/State St., try Comet Coffee in Nickels Arcade- a nice experience.

I've not hit up many of the Ann Arbor food joints, we've scheduled Angelo's as a stop though.

Downtown Detroit for lunch? If so for that price range then why go get the best hot-dog in the State of Michigan. Go to Lafayette Coney Island. You could go to Mexican Town and get some hand dipped tacos from Xochimilco's. If you want Italian then try Roma's. If you want a good sandwich and are over by WSU then try Honest John's. If you want German cuisine the try Jacoby's. You could also go to Hamtramck and get some homemade Pierogies.

I'm an ACI fan, actually :P I just got back to Kentucky.

I had Angelo's for breakfast in Ann Arbor... Honestly one of the better meals I've had in my entire lifetime... and I've had some seriously good food in my days.

Too bad I missed those other suggestions, but I'll check them out in a week or two

I would recommend Seva. It's veg restaurant but they have great food. I myself am a meat eater but I would have to say Seva is one of my favorites. Plus if the weather is nice, you can sit on the patio which is always nice.
