I like state capitol buildings as most mimic Roman and Greek architecture, which I love, and which is sadly missing in more recently constructed buildings in the US.
Here's some views of a couple of state capitol buildings.
From my adopted home state of Washington.

Wisconsin's first state capitol (from 10/25/1836 thru to 12/9/1836) at Belmont before moving to Madison.

The Council House, the state capitol, is on the right; the building on the left was originally a lodging house for the legislators.
